Welcome travellers, scholars and hunters of wonder and mystery. I’m M. M. Mugan, or M3 to my friends. Thank you for checking out my bio as I begin my storytelling adventure of Clark Clements and the ‘Pocket in Time’ series. Although my debut book may be new, the heart of the story has been 3000 years in the making!

But first, a little about me. I grew up in the quiet little town of

Millsboro Delaware, US of A. It’s a small place where everyone

knows you, people leave their doors unlocked at night and it’s where

big dreams begin. I was always a bookworm from a young age,

starting first with classics like the Hardy Boys, the Adventures of

Tintin and Roald Dahl. My friends and I would go out and try and

create our own adventures inspired by these books and that’s where

Clark Clements was born. He didn’t have a name then, but the first

heartbeats of his story started pumping.

As I grew older, I decided I needed to see the world beyond my small

safe town and what’s that’s where my personal adventure began.

I moved to the UK and studied in London. I had no idea I wanted to

be a writer at that time, but then a day trip to The British

Museum ignited a small spark in me. I was always fascinated by

history and when I saw all the ancient Egyptian artefacts and

mummies, a story began forming in my mind.

‘What if everything we think we know about history was wrong?’

The heartbeat of Clark Clements started beating stronger. I finished

university and then decided to go on more adventures and travelled

around Europe, Africa and Asia.

One of my  adventures led me to spend time in Cairo, Egypt.

Seeing the Great Pyramids and Sphinx was amazing, but it was one

artefact that really set my mind on fire and set me on my course

to write.  The death mask of the young boy King Tutankhamun. Who was he really?

So much mystery for so much history!

It was there the story fully came to life in my mind and Clark

Clements now had a clear voice. I researched more into the life and

times of young Pharaoh and slowly began weaving his world together

with Clark’s reality.  Before I knew it, Clark was born and living in the pages of my debut novel, The Phantom Pharaoh!

But this is only the start of the adventure, for me, for Clark and for

you. So come with us and see where it takes us and hopefully it will

spark something in to you too.
